In March 2017 the Snowy Mountains will come alive with more multisport action, which for the first time in 2017 includes the NSW Aquathlon State Championships, and the Snowies Ultra Trail Run in addition to the TreX Australian Cross Triathlon Championships.
Located in the heart of Australia’s High County, and starting at an altitude of 1100 metres, with Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciusko as the backdrop, the courses will both delight and challenge athletes of all levels.
The Aquathlon is an on-road event, taking place in the beautiful lake and roads around Lake Crackenback Resort, and includes standard and sprint distance events.
Standard Distance (16 years plus) is 2.5 kilometre run, 1000 metre swim, 2.5 kilometre run.
Sprint Distance (12 years plus) is 1.25 kilometres run, 300 metre swim, 1.25 kilometre run.
Set in classic Australian bushland alongside Lake Crackenback and the Little Thredbo River, views are spectacular and native wildlife abound. Take part in three events across the weekend and be in the running to be crowned NSW Dirt Master, Mini Dirt Master or Junior Dirt Dude!
